The 2016 Explorer configurator, which is slightly buried inside the 2016 Explorer's informational page.
An Explorer XLT 3.5L 4WD spec'd how I'd want is just about $42k, which isn't terrible for a decently loaded crossover-ish SUV thing. I do wonder why they don't just put the 3.7L in here instead of the 3.5L though.
I really like how the 2016 looks. It brings a bit more chunky SUV styling back to the Explorer, even if it is still uni-body with a transverse engine.

dat GT engine
I'm going to say that for every 3.5 equipped car because it's completely true

I have to wonder how many components are actually shared between a normal 3.5 EcoBoost and the GT's. If the normal one can handle pumping out 600 horsepower or not, I don't know.

The only thing it shares is the size really. The GT's V6 is derived from the Daytona Prototype. The Raptor is going to use a whole new Ecoboost to, which also shares very little from the original. No idea if it relates to the GT's though.
I know someone with an SHO that's making around 500HP with very few mods. Stock internals. It's a very capable engine.

The Ford rep at the Daytona 24 said that the DPs have the same engine as the GT and Raptor and it's making 450 hp in the Raptor.

I've driven an Interceptor with a 3.7 and I thought "why don't the put this in the regular ones" seriously?

I'd call it an improvement I've always thought the this was too bubbly, almost to minivan like.
this looks sort of Range Rover-ish with the chrome grill, but I still prefer the Sport with the piano black accents.
you can even see a bit of the new F-150's design in the new taillights

The motor in the GT and Raptor are all new "second generation" engines, that share little more than displacement with the current 3.5 EB.

We got rid of the 3.7L NA engine. It's the 3.5L now.

tis not a true SUV though, its not body-on-frame, its unibody.
unibody=bad SUV.

New Range Rovers and the Jeep Grand Cherokee would like a word with you.
And I said its unibody with a transverse engine...
